Well I shall start out by saying...

CONGRATS TO OUR LEADER AND FIZZBAN!!

Well see that guys. Just a bit of minimalistic protesting and I do beleive that it went rather far. For the Powers that Be finaly heeded to our call for our Adonis to be Re-instated. I shall give us all a little pat on the back and espcially ykherry and Twink our Resident Artistic Faerie for making the WONDERMOUS banner which I must go take down now out of my shop,which kind of blows because I really did like it. It looked really nice in my shop.lol

Well I shall say that I am Truly Happy for Alombar. I cant even imagine all that time and hard work down the drain. It would simply have been a great and terrible tragedy if his shop, items, and neopoints had not been returned to him. Again...Congrats !!

Well... as I said in the Wannabeez:

Damn, and I liked that banner too.. But, I am putting it up in the Gallery, yes I am! (in case we need it again - you just never know)

So..
alombar emailed 2 members of the stuff with the freezing problem that was by now known to at least half of the Neopian world, and through a friend of his got a reply: "He should wait 2 weeks after he has send neomail"
DOH!! He had -already- emailed twice, 2 WEEKS AGO... Anyways, after that and about 6pm Neopian time, his account was unfrozen and he received a mail saying that his account was hacked and the hacker had done "something.
And that was all. All his items were in his shop again even though with shop size 1. But that is restored now as well.

Bottom line is that our loud voices probably woke some sleepy heads up!

Alombar and I thank you dearly for all your support! It will not be forgotten.

How to put it... ROFLMAO!

Anywho, you can (or can you?) imagine my surprise when I found out alombar42's account was frozen. That's right, laugh all you want but I had absolutely no idea. I've put up the banner (which I also found to be extremely amusing) in both of my shops, though they're pretty much understocked, and therefore not very visited :-P.

On the other hand, alombar's account has been frozen and later unfrozen in the past, so there I hope the same thing will happen this time. Since alombar said he wouldn't need any help getting back on his feet, and e-mailing neopets insistently will probably make them angry, all I can do is cross my fingers.

If there's something else I can do, I'd be only too glad to: I'm quite willing to send neopets a complaint if it is needed. In the meantime, VT, I hope your account will be restored soon.

This is, indeed, a very good point. I don't know if it's force of habit or the fact that so many people in the workforce get bombarded wuth so many emails in a day, but people (myself included) do tend to pay more attention to something looking them in the face that they can physically touch.

Of course, there are those who will just completely ignore or are too busy to give a lot of thought to any form of communication whatsoever.. such is life..

In short, not the most entertaining camera on the internet.

They are just 9to5'er's you know. We can't realistically expect them to be at each individuals beck and call. At least not immediatly, and the neopets team is here to serve a target audience, not their best players, which is what makes it what it is. So it's not all bad (and if we keep complaining we'll eventually get something happening).

All joking aside this nonsense is definately taking some fun out of this site. If I get frozen ... I wonder if I would have the ability to just come back as Alombar has and still enjoy the game? I have so very very little to lose as far as Neopian wealth. I collect cute things not an empire of wealth but devastation at the lose of a few unbuyable cuties hiding in my SDB would have me wondering about wasting my time. How must some of those that lost millions feel? I would hazard a guess that betrayal is probably high on their list. Good luck to all those battling the almight Neopian Freezing Goddess (yes it must be a Goddes ... only a women would be so d***** bi***y!)

Please DO NOT raise any fund or anything like that. I still have quite a few nps in other accounts and close "neorich" friends, so I can get items/nps if I have to.
Right now, what I'm asking for is an official explanation - WHY I was frozen.
You see, I think that the site should somehow protect (log? backup?) the top players, since they are the most "loyal" customers too, or else it may lose reputation...
It's like real life: you may ignore, for some reason, the end users (even all of them), but it's hard to ignore the "opinion leaders"...

The end of 2002 was great, at least for me and Mel - we woke up at 12:00 noon after a loooong night )

BTW, thanks for the support - which gave me a couple of ideas to... support myself too

What I did the last few days is use all the accounts I could (mine, Mel's and a friend's) buying a large number of maps (thus forcing a price change and forcing others to buy back) while displaying the question "Why is alombar42 still frozen" in the shops' description. This guarantees quite a few... readers (and makes nps too).

But it's holidays and I don't really expect much before tomorrow, especially if items etc were stolen (two RDNs, other HT items and 45 mils in the bank are a good target for anyone). Maybe they're still tracing the actions that took place, but I was definitely expecting a reply, an explanation, something! Till now, officially, I have no idea why I am frozen (only what I've read in the Guild).

Last, I'm frozen for the fifth time I think, and I've lost many items/nps three times so far, so maybe I should get used to it :-|

My Gallery is closed, in my shops, my chat posts, *I hate chat, but I post simply to post my plea* In my pleas to the team that Couldn't be APP's because APP's are faster then this, all that I am goes into my plea:

No no, please. Noone is setting up any fund for alombar.
If that should happen, it would be announced by his Majesty himself (and that is very unlikely to happen!)

We both thank though for the support. What he really needs is a good explanation and an update from the Neopets Team which unfortunately won't happen until the end of the week I think.

I'm with you all with bringing alombar back and it is so nerve breaking for him and a true shame. So much time, so much fun and so much work. It might be just a game but it sure is a 100% interactive one which makes it by default, somewhat more than a game.

What gets to me though is the Neopets Team complete indiference. Not a single neomail explaining things, telling what happened. I realize that if they did this for every single player that got frozen (although they mostly do send notices), it would take too much of their time ..but hey, we're talking about the top player here.

Does the Neopets team really exist I wonder or is there a gigantic automated machine behind Neopets that makes it run? An APP maybe?

well.. as a last resort i put a HUGE "why is alombar42 frozen" in my shops, hoping that this will get someones attention.

Ah Yes, Well Now.... Finally neopets is back up and running. Kelshy I also was Eagerly awaiting the Neopets site to come back to properly working order. Hopefully everything has been fixed and the site will not run as slow as it was running yesterday and last nite. Also hopefully they have caught up on all the issues that have been neglected such as getting a response back to our dear guild leader!!
I understand that it is the Hollidays and all but if I were to own a website or a business I would try to run it in a respectable and user friendly manner as possible. What is that saying?? The customer is Always right. Well I would think that in essence we are something like the customers of neopets. So therefore if the customer is Always right then I say UNFREEZE OUR LEADERS ACCOUNT!!

Well that having been said I shall be going back to romp all around neopia for a bit and Hope that for a change I get a Good Random Event for a change. Why mayhaps even those most sought after Plushie Paintbrushes will just fall out of the Neopian Sky right in front of me.(yea right)

Even if I caught you doing a No-no, you are still top dog, and a good teacher of shops.

So how can I beat ya, WITHOUT you being at the top. Oh yea Alombar, hehehe xmas has been nice as I made 8million NP profit today alone.

Matter of time before I make my move. I figure you start to worry when I reach shop size 1000 on ghoundai When will I move? I dunno but top 80 is really tempting. Besides, kings are meant to be replaced - so if you are stepping down now due to neo then I will gladly fill your (big) shoes. If/When you come back -- I'll fight ya for them!

I really NEED to STOP eating cool neggs though 330k a day down the drain in training oh well hehehehe
